Q.E.N.P. is situated round about 430 km southeast from Kampala. Vast herds of animals live here and the landscape is very varied. But there is not only a Jeep game drive possible; here you can make also a boat trip on the Kasinga channel. This channel is the connection between Lake George and Lake Edward. It’s full of hippos and you have a beautiful view of all other animals along this natural channel. Another highlight is a guided tour to see the chimpanzees in the Kyambura gorge.
Kibale National Park
The Kibale National Park is one hour away from Fort Portal. In this park you will find plenty different primates. During the guided tracking to the chimpanzees, you will pass the beautiful rainforest.
Semliki Park
Even in this park there is a possibility of walking safari. Here you can visit the hot springs. And a special attraction is a chance of swimming in a pool of a waterfall.
In this park is the incredible waterfall of the Victoria Nile. It`s passing the only 7m wide and 43m deep gorge. From Paraa is it also possible to make a boat trip to the waterfall from the lower side. On the way from Kampala to the park is a Rhino breeding station. They try to add the population of Rhinos in Uganda. Only 40 km from Masindi you can visit Budongo forest. Here should be the best rainforest of east afrika and very good guided tours to the chimpanzees.
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
In the Southwest of Uganda you find the Bwindi National Park. Here in the Virunga Mountains is the best place to see the rare Mountain Gorilla. The size of the park is 331 km and 50% of the free living world population is in this park.
Jinja
From Kampala to Jinja is only a distance of 80 km. Here you will find the source of the nile, and not far away the Owen Falls. At the evening you can make a sunset cruise on Lake Victoria. The Bujagali Falls only 8km to Jinja, is a very good place for all friends of rafting.
Botanical Garden-Entebbe
In Entebbe you can visit the very beautiful Botanical Garden. It’s situated direct at Lake Victoria, and is a very nice place for a picnic and relaxing.
Mgahinga National Park
The park is situated at the borde to Rwanda and Kongo. With a Ranger it`s possible to climb the Vulcanoes. These are between 3-4000m high, and on the way you are passing the beautiful rainforest.
The Gorillas are mostly on the other side of the border. On top of Mt.Sabinyo you will stand in 3 countries.
Kidepo Valley National Park
This park is not touched by tourist like others. The incredible landscape is rich of animals. In the north, close to Kenya and Sudan you find the true Africa. The size is 1442 km2. Big animals elephant,buffulo,lion and so on are living in the savannh area, and 28 mammals you find only here, and not somewhere else in Uganda. Even the rare African Wildog is able to see.
